The FBI Was Authorized to Use Lethal Force in the Mar a Lago Raid.

They were prepared to confront the former President of the United States. Terrorists!

“This can’t possibly happen here! This is America! I won’t believe it until I see some kind of proof!” Well, read on, because here it is.

I have just started reading Victor Davis Hanson’s new book, The End of Everything-How Wars Descend Into Annihilation, and while not directly applicable to this particular situation (one might say the “nightmare de jour as they seem to occur on an almost daily basis) it does clearly illustrate how quickly an entire civilization can be brought down very quickly if it underestimates the ruthlessness of its enemy. We are, with this evidence, clearly facing what many have believed is the case for some time: the law enforcement machinery is being used by the “governing class” to eliminate any and all opposition. When, exactly, is enough enough? Is it when the Department of Justice and the FBI are proven to have authorized the use of lethal force even against the former President of the United States and his family and his Secret Service protection agents and staff and guests at his resort in Florida! If that is the red line, that day is today, as Judge Cannon in West Palm Beach is in the process of unredacting many of the Special Counsel’s documents and these unblievable revelations are conntained in those documents. As one who practiced before many very capable Judges of unquestioned integrity, I must, in view of what we are seeing in the Judiciary these days, add a special note of appreciation for Judges like Judge Cannon. A person of true independence who strictly follows her Oath of Office.

If this kind of insanity continues one has to wonder if we’re even going to make it to Election Day (has sort of a nostalgic sound to it, doesn’t it? I remember when we actually had Election Days). And despite this clear evidence of the readiness of the most corrupt FBI and Department of Justice in our history to -call it what it is- shoot the former President of the United States , many Republicans lined up with Democrats in the House to approve funding for a new FBI building to the tune of 335 MILLION DOLLARS. Or was it Billion? Hard to keep up these days. But we are told by our Esteemed Betters that they need this new palace because no matter what you may hear about all the bad things the FBI is doing, the “rank and file” are good, upstanding people. Really? The swarm of agents from several different field offices who executed this jackbooted assault on a former President of the United States were “rank and file” FBI agents. Where were the “rank and file” employees who stood up to say “This is insane! Someone could get killed! Maybe even President Trump”? If he or she did, I have seen no evidence of it.

There is an old saying used in warfare and I’m sure other areas to describe when something is hanging by a thread and could easily go one way or the other: “It was a close run thing.”

Our entire government these days is a close-run thing. I desperately want to believe it will make it through this horror. I refuse to believe that so many died in vain for a country which is now run by lunatics.
