Cincinnatus --Roman hero Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus-was a hero of the Roman Republic. According to the historical society established in his memory,
“In the fifth century BC, the Roman Senate called on Cincinnatus to lead the army of the republic against foreign invaders and granted him dictatorial powers to deal with the crisis facing Rome. After leading the army to victory, he resigned his commission, returned power to the Senate, and retired to his farm, refusing rewards for serving the republic. For the classical world, Cincinnatus was the embodiment of civic virtue—characterized by a willingness to sacrifice private interest and private gain for the good of the public.”
We have to wonder what that great hero of antiquity must be thinking if he is looking down upon the city named in his honor on the Ohio River where recent events have taken a barbaric turn exactly opposite to the values he stood for all those millennia ago? What must this paragon of “civic virtue” make of a black mob trying to beat a white man and a white female Good Samaritan who tried to come to his aid literally to death because of some perceived “disrespect”?
To be as clear as I know how to express my thoughts in the English language, this post is not about who slapped who or who should have gotten the “beat down” he deserved as stated by an actual elected official of this city. It is about how much wanton animal-like behavior our system can tolerate until the day dawns upon us when someone, and that is all it will take -one someone- says “enough is enough” and decides, in the absence of all law enforcement due to whatever inane “woke” ideology may be at play in any city in which this moment may come upon our Republic.
The proof is there for all to see with an internet connection. There are numerous videos of the “beat down” so eagerly approved by a member of the governing body of this particular city -here is just one of them:
This post is about what I have seen with my own eyes in the numerous videos of the incident in Cincinnati, of the Mayor’s sickeningly weak statement about it, of the Chief of Police’s outrageous statements about it and, most tellingly of all, the statement of the member of the City Council of Cincinnati that the victims of the attack “begged for that beatdown.” Note to City Councilwoman Victoria Parks: in no civilized society does one “beg” to have multiple street thugs jump up and down on his head.
Just how long are we going to give a free pass to one demographic in our society—why can’t anyone just say it: black people- for acting like savages out of another age and animals on some kind of wild frenzy? Have you watched those videos? How can anyone possibly say there are two sides to that savagery depending upon who insulted who first or who landed the first slap on which side? The videos, and here I am doing my utmost to be as balanced as I can be in asking if anyone sees something else in those videos to let us know, show wild barbarians trying to kill another human being while stomping on his head. What social justice lunacy can possibly justify such savagery as that?
I implore all who are interested in the survival of our Republic to view all the clear evidence of what happened that nightmarish night in Cincinnati and draw your own conclusions. Here, for example, is what these examples of America’s new lawless breed of barbarians did to a lady who happened to try to help one of the victims in the street. Here name is Holly and she suffered severe brain trauma in the beatdown some low-life politician said she “deserved”:
Here, for what they are worth, are my views on this lunacy. I have to wonder how many officially sanctioned “beat downs” in Cincinnati, Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Kenosha, Ferguson, Memphis, or so many other Democrat controlled sanctuary areas of peace, tolerance and love it is going to take before we start the well-known process of admitting we have a problem with one demographic in our society whose violence is becoming more and more out of control- young black people.
History is replete with examples of societies comforting themselves with the phrase “it can’t happen here.” Victor Davis Hanson’s most recent book detailed four wars which resulted in “The End of Everything” – Thebes, Carthage, Constantinople and The Aztec Empire- which were preceded by that kind of wishful thinking. If “leaders” like the pusillanimous Mayor of Cincinnati, Aftar Pureval, and the City’s social justice-driven Chief of Police do not start enforcing the law rather than making “woke” excuses for this kind of out-of-control civilizational breakdown vigilantes will inevitably fill that vacuum.
Speaking of Dr. Hanson, he recently wrote a most insightful column about this “beatdown” in which he noted several disturbing aspects to this savage attack:
One, the violence broke out along racial and age fault lines. After the initial dispute, groups of black youths swarmed solitary older white bystanders to pound them.
Two, the surrounding assembled group of black youths not only failed to intervene to restrain the bullies, they recorded the beatings for social media and were heard cheering on the one-sided violence.
Three, there was neither a police presence nor any timely good Samaritan interventions.
Four, oddly few of the usual black spokespeople who habitually comment on interracial violence were to be seen.
During the fake Jussie Smollett attack, self-appointed leaders from Al Sharpton to Kamala Harris immediately issued warnings about so-called systemic white racism that had reared its ugly head to victimize Smollett.
Yet when it was revealed that Smollett had concocted the entire charade — and even hired his own assaulters — there were few if any retractions from those once so eager to shout “Racist!”
Such demagoguery is a well-known pattern dating back to the days of the Tawana Brawley rape hoax, the Duke Lacrosse charade, the Covington kids ruse, the Michael Ford “Hands Up Don’t Shoot” fabrication or the NASCAR noose fable.
Racialists too often concoct white racist attackers and go silent when the evidence proves fabricated — only to be primed to manipulate the next hoax.
Five, the media and authorities did their best to either hide or play down the violence.
City leaders, the chief of police and the media variously blamed the mass black-on-white violence on 1) social media, 2) the original dispute, 3) alcohol, 4) the lack of civilian intervention to stop the violence and 5) a festival atmosphere — anything except endemic racial hatred shown toward whites from the crowd of black youths.
Six, had a gang of white toughs beat middle-aged African Americans senseless, recorded it and cheered on the violence, there would have been immediate national outrage.
Nor did anyone wish to raise the taboo topic of inordinate black crime rates, disproportionate to respective demographic realities.
In rare interracial violent crimes, the asymmetrical ratio of black-on-white versus white-on-black assaults ranges from three to five times greater.
Seven, the quiet of the left-wing media to the reprehensible violence stands in marked contrast with their usual rush-to-judgment racialism in two near-simultaneous incidents.
Dan Bongino in his days as a successful podcaster had a phrase which fits this situation like a glove— “is this hard?’ Is it so difficult to look at a video of black men jumping on a white man’s head to see what is happening all across our country?
This is not hard, and it is a problem that is going to have to be solved by the criminal justice system. If it is not, the system is bound to break one day when an American citizen, whose loved one may have been punched in the face as “Holly” was in Cincinnati, may just decide:
Enough is enough.
It was not a brawl. It was a racist mob attack. The media using the word brawl over and over is an attempt to frame the victims as somehow instigating the attack. It's like saying a rape victim was engaging in rough sex.
It’s absolutely correct: enough is enough and sadly one step too far in the wrong place and wrong time will have very tragic consequences.
