Happy Easter to you and yours.
This cross atop a dune on Pensacola Beach marks the spot of the first service in what is now the United States held by Dominican Friars in 1559 when Don Tristan de Luna landed on our shores. The Cross has stood against hurricanes and weathered the storms of life. It is also the reminder on this day that Jesus was crucified. He cried out to the heavens "God oh God, why have thou forsaken me?" It was in that moment that Jesus bore the weight of the sin, so that we did not have to. Good Friday is "Good" because the cross is a reminder that death was not the end... He Is Risen. God Bless your family this weekend!
